Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of a complex capital asset remediation initiative.
- Drive execution against approved project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, and success metrics.
- Maintain accountability across project teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Monitor progress, identify risks and dependencies, and proactively address barriers to execution.
- Escalate significant risks, delays, resource constraints, and decision points requiring executive attention.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources and stakeholders to support successful delivery.
- Review project reporting and provide challenge, guidance, and recommendations to improve outcomes.
- Promote urgency, transparency, and disciplined follow-through across all aspects of the program.
- Ensure executive leadership receives clear visibility into project status, risks, issues, and required actions.
- Foster alignment among finance, operations, asset management, and executive stakeholders.
- Support governance, decision-making, and executive communications related to the remediation initiative.
Qualifications
- Experience leading large-scale remediation, transformation, PMO, corrective action, or enterprise change initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving timelines, budgets, resources, vendors, risks, and executive reporting.
- Experience with capital assets, inventory management, fixed assets, asset accounting, financial controls, or comparable operational remediation efforts.
- Former Chief Audit Executive, Chief Audit Officer, Internal Audit Director, Internal Audit Partner, Managing Director, or similar executive leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, governance, and financial reporting environments.
- Significant experience working with Boards of Directors, Audit Committees, CFOs, CEOs, and executive leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge constructively, and drive accountability without direct authority.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within complex, highly matrixed organizations.
