Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager/Engineer for a contract role with a client in Carson, CA.


Location: Carson, CA

Duration: 3-month contract + Possible Extension

Pay Range: $40-$42 per hour on W2. The rate may be negotiable based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.


I’d like to ask you for a temporary contract resource, “Project Lead,” focused on Project Management with manufacturing process knowledge (e.g., Manufacturing Orders, Bill of Materials, Planning knowledge, MRP knowledge)

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer 1 contributes to the development of a project.

Summary of Duties:

  1. Participate in the project team. This involves circulating bottom-up and top-down information about the project and formally defining, in conjunction with project team members’ line managers, the availability of the requisite skills and resources.
  2. Support the project team in coordinating and facilitating input for milestone completion, including production follow-up.
  3. Provide input for the project reference system (document reference system, approval records, configuration reports, etc.) in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Follow up the project schedule and updates of management indicators (KPIs) for his/her perimeter
  5. Work closely with more experienced Project Engineers to leverage implementation and application of all project management methods in accordance with regulations and standards: weekly management meetings, KPIs, dashboards, reports, etc.
  6. As part of the process, provide input for technical choices in conjunction with the technical teams and relevant business lines
  7. Identify risks and opportunities, propose mitigations and solutions
  8. If necessary, provide input to task forces to resolve development sticking points and/or contingencies
  9. Provide input to project reviews (technical, production engineering, and support) to prepare program milestone reviews.
  10. Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field


Experience:

Minimum 3 years of related experience in aerospace or engineering project management.


Computer Skills:

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD & PLM Systems

Basic knowledge of Project management tools
