We are conducting a confidential search for an established New York civil and foundation contractor. The company is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support its project management team from its Yonkers office across foundation drilling, structural support, and heavy civil construction projects.


This is a full-time, largely office-based role with occasional visits to active project sites. It is well suited to a recent Civil Engineering or Construction Management graduate, or someone with approximately one year of construction experience who wants broad exposure to project delivery and a clear path for progression.


Location


- Yonkers, New York

- Primarily office-based, with occasional travel to project sites as required


Key responsibilities


- Support the Project Manager with day-to-day project coordination, scheduling, documentation, and follow-up

- Maintain RFIs, submittals, change-order logs, procurement trackers, drawing registers, and other project controls

- Review plans, specifications, and revisions and help communicate updates to field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants

- Assist with quantity takeoffs, bid documentation, purchase orders, cost tracking, invoice review, and project reporting

- Coordinate material deliveries, subcontractor information, inspections, and project meetings

- Prepare meeting minutes, progress updates, closeout documents, and organized project files

- Work with field personnel to resolve documentation issues and keep projects moving on schedule

- Support safety, quality, and compliance documentation as required


Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred; Construction Management or a related construction degree will also be considered

- Recent graduates and candidates with up to one year of construction, engineering, internship, co-op, or field experience are encouraged to apply

- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and follow-through

- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and standard project documentation

- Ability to read construction drawings or a willingness to develop this skill quickly

- Ability to work primarily from the Yonkers office and travel to nearby jobsites when required

- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship


Compensation and benefits


- $75,000-$90,000 base salary, depending on experience
