Position Title: LMD Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager
Job Location: Teaneck, NJ

Position Overview
The Project Manager (PM) or Assistant Project Manager (APM) will play a critical role in the successful implementation and management of B2B/B2C Last Mile Delivery (LMD) operations and customer experience initiatives. This position reports directly to the Head of Last Mile Delivery and works cross-functionally with Supply Chain Solutions, Warehouse Operations, Transportation, Customer Service, Call Center Operations, and external partners.
The ideal candidate will oversee project implementation, operational readiness, customer service performance, and continuous process improvement initiatives. This role requires strong project management skills, logistics expertise, customer-centric thinking, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
The position will support all aspects of the order-to-delivery lifecycle, including order management, warehousing, transportation, installation and white-glove delivery services, returns management, and customer communication
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead and manage multiple logistics and Last Mile Delivery projects simultaneously.
- Develop project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and launch.
- Monitor project performance, risks, issues, and mitigation activities.
- Communicate project status, updates, and critical milestones to stakeholders and leadership.
- Conduct regular project reviews and operational meetings to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Develop scalable operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Last Mile Delivery Operations
- Support and manage B2B/B2C Last Mile Delivery programs.
- Collaborate with transportation providers and delivery partners to optimize service performance.
- Monitor delivery KPIs, service levels, operational costs, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
- Support installation, white-glove delivery, and reverse logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and operational standards.
Customer Service & Customer Experience Management
- Coordinate with customers to confirm delivery schedules and appointment availability.
- Proactively communicate schedule updates, delays, exceptions, and delivery alerts to customers.
- Conduct site readiness checks to ensure delivery and installation requirements are met prior to execution.
- Work closely with customers, delivery teams, and service providers to resolve scheduling and operational issues.
- Monitor customer inquiries and escalations to ensure timely resolution and a positive customer experience.
- Support customer communication throughout the order-to-delivery lifecycle, including pre-delivery, delivery, installation, and post-delivery activities.
- Track customer satisfaction metrics and identify opportunities to improve the overall customer experience.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Last Mile Delivery, Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution, Customer Service, or Call Center Operations.
- Experience managing B2B/B2C delivery operations preferred.
- Experience with Home Appliance Delivery, Installation Services, Furniture Delivery, or White Glove Service strongly preferred.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and external service providers.
- Experience with customer experience (CX) programs and service operations preferred.
