Sycuan Health Center is seeking a compassionate Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our Behavioral Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high‑quality mental health care in our new, state-of-the-art clinic, using an integrated, whole‑person care model alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

About the Role

In this position, you will provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy, complete biopsychosocial assessments, diagnose using DSM‑5‑TR, and deliver evidence‑based interventions. You’ll work closely with medical providers to address emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial needs that impact overall health and functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy across the lifespan
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
• Diagnose mental health conditions (DSM‑5‑TR)
• Document timely and accurately
• Collaborate with medical providers and community partners
• Offer crisis intervention and safety planning
• Coordinate referrals and participate in ongoing education

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Master’s in MFT or related field
• Active, unrestricted CA LMFT license
• Familiarity with DSM‑5‑TR
• Strong assessment, documentation, and time‑management skills
• Experience with children/adolescents and adults

Preferred:

• Experience in medical/clinic or integrated care settings
• Trauma‑informed care background
• Experience with chronic illness, grief, or complex medical cases
• Bilingual skills
• Knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, or health psychology modalities
