Salary: $50,000 – $85,000 per year

Location: Glendale, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: Minimum 1 Year Civil Litigation

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal with at least 1 year of civil litigation experience. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including discovery, case management, client communication, and court filings.

Responsibilities

  • Draft (propoud and respond) to written discovery
  • Prepare discovery shells and organize supporting documents
  • Review client records and documentation
  • Coordinate document production and manage discovery deadlines
  • Draft meet and confer correspondence
  • Assist attorneys with case strategy preparation
  • Prepare subpoenas and coordinate record retrieval
  • File legal documents with courts through e-filing systems
  • Maintain litigation calendars, court deadlines, and statutes of limitation
  • Communicate with clients regarding case updates and document collection
  • Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert appointments
  • Organize pleadings, evidence and correspondence
  • Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, demands, and settlement packages
  • Manage attorney calendars and case files
  • Conduct basic legal research and case investigations
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, medical providers, and court personnel
  • Maintain accurate notes and documentation in the case management system

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of civil litigation paralegal experience
  • Experience handling discovery responses and propounding discovery
  • Knowledge of California civil procedure preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
