What You Bring to the Table:
We are seeking a Mechanic III with 5+ years of industrial maintenance or heavy equipment mechanic experience and advanced skill in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems. You will handle the most challenging repairs on industrial recycling and heavy equipment, lead repair projects, mentor junior mechanics, and help keep equipment running at peak performance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; advanced technical certifications are preferred. A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must pass a drug screen and physical. Welding/fabrication, PLC/VFD exposure, and condition-monitoring experience are pluses. This is a swing-shift role (10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) in Lost Hills, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex systems on heavy industrial machinery, including engines, hydraulics, powertrains, and electrical/electronic controls
- Overhaul and rebuild major components such as transmissions, axles, hydraulic pumps and motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
- Troubleshoot computerized control systems, sensors, wiring, and ECUs using diagnostic software and specialized tools
- Lead large-scale repair projects and coordinate work with other mechanics, technicians, and supervisors
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unscheduled downtime and maintain detailed repair and service records
- Mentor Mechanic I and II team members and collaborate with operators and supervisors to resolve recurring reliability issues
