Job Title: Manager, Strategy & Analysis – Agentic AI at the Edge

Location: San Diego, CA 92121 (100% Onsite)

Pay Rate: $538.46 / day

Contract: 3 months+ (with strong protentional for conversion or extension)

Position Overview

This role leads strategic initiatives to evaluate where agentic AI at the edge delivers maximum value and competitive advantage. The Manager will translate market ambiguity into structured decision frameworks, analyze vertical opportunities, size markets, evaluate partner/competitive ecosystems, and present executive-ready recommendations to senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritization Frameworks: Build and execute vertical/use-case frameworks evaluating market attractiveness against internal rights-to-win to establish defensible opportunity shortlists.
  • Market Sizing: Estimate TAM and SAM for priority verticals using rigorous assumptions and data triangulation across demand signals.
  • Landscape Analysis: Evaluate edge AI ecosystem players across silicon providers, edge/cloud infrastructure, platforms, ISVs, system integrators, and strategic partners.
  • Business Case Development: Define value pools, monetization models, unit economics, investment requirements, and risk factors for prioritized initiatives.
  • Executive Synthesis: Deliver clear, actionable strategy presentations to guide senior leadership on focus areas, partnerships, investments, and deprioritizations.


Level of Responsibility

  • Operates independently with minimal supervision while providing guidance to direct reports.
  • Influences key organizational decisions through consultation with executive leadership.
  • Navigates unstructured problem spaces requiring active planning, problem-solving, and prioritization.
  • Manages assigned objectives within prescribed departmental budgetary guidelines.


Must-Have Required Skills (Non-Negotiable)

  • Industry Verticals & Workflows: Deep understanding of operational workflows, software stacks, and domain pain points across key industry verticals.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Proven capability to assess market trends, competitive positioning, customer needs, and ecosystem dynamics.
  • White-Space Strategy: Expertise in framing ambiguous problems, uncovering white space, and driving structured decision-making.
  • AI & Edge Computing: Solid working knowledge of AI workloads, edge silicon platforms, devices, and value distribution across tech stacks.
  • Executive Communication: Elite ability to synthesize complex data into crisp, presentation-ready narratives and slide decks for senior stakeholders.


Required Technical Knowledge & Tools

  • AI Workloads & Models: Fundamental understanding of AI model types, architecture requirements, and workload behaviors.
  • Research Methodologies: Advanced proficiency with market intelligence tools, secondary research databases, and quantitative sizing methodologies.


Education & Experience Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6–10+ years of experience in top-tier management consulting (MBB or top boutique), corporate strategy, or tech product/market strategy.
