• Day Shift: $25.00/hour
• Night Shift: $27.50/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking Manufacturing Associates Level 1 to support the production of innovative biotherapeutic medicines within a highly automated, cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

The Manufacturing Associate will interface with automated production systems and controls, operate manufacturing equipment, prepare materials, maintain accurate documentation, and support routine mammalian cell culture manufacturing activities while ensuring a high level of safety, compliance, and inspection readiness.

Candidates from military, mechanical, manufacturing, food service, hospitality, or other hands-on, process-driven backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing systems and automated equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
• Support routine production activities for mammalian cell culture products.
• Clean, sanitize, sterilize, assemble, and prepare equipment for production.
• Prepare raw materials, components, and other materials required for manufacturing.
• Follow cGMP, SOPs, safety procedures, and manufacturing documentation requirements.
• Complete batch records, tickets, labels, equipment readings, and other documentation accurately and Right-First-Time.
• Use automation and computerized systems to perform production and equipment operations.
• Escalate process or equipment issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
• Support Manufacturing teams in meeting production schedules and demands.
• Handle and aliquot hazardous materials in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Maintain manufacturing areas in a high state of inspection preparedness.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Immediately report safety and environmental incidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Communicate effectively and professionally within a team environment.

Manufacturing Areas

Associates may support one or more of the following areas:

Upstream Manufacturing (UM)

• Operate fixed-vessel systems used for media preparation, fermentation, and harvest.
• Perform cleaning and sterilization of manufacturing vessels.
• Support seed train operations.
• Dispense manufacturing components.
• Handle and aliquot hazardous materials.

Downstream Manufacturing (DM)

• Operate and clean fixed tank systems.
• Operate and clean filtration systems.
• Support large-scale buffer preparation.
• Operate column chromatography systems.
• Dispense manufacturing components.
• Handle and aliquot hazardous materials.

Shift & Schedule

Four positions available — one for each shift:

Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM

Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:30 AM

Training Requirement

The first two weeks of employment require daytime training, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Important: Candidates accepting a night-shift position must be fully available to work the required daytime training schedule for the first two weeks before transitioning to their permanent night shift.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as required.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs and established procedures consistently.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly regulated, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing production demands and operational challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree, certification, or advanced college-level coursework.
• Mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, laboratory, or hands-on equipment experience.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automated equipment or computerized manufacturing systems.
• cGMP or pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing experience is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work in and around pressurized tanks, housings, piping, pumps, steam, water, air, and cleaning/sanitizing chemical systems.
• Work in cleanroom environments requiring appropriate gowning.
• Hospital scrubs, coveralls, safety-toe footwear, and shoe covers may be required multiple times per shift.
• Safety glasses/goggles and gloves may be required multiple times per shift.
• No makeup or jewelry is permitted in designated cleanroom areas.
• Handle hazardous materials and chemicals in accordance with OSHA and site safety requirements.
• Hearing protection and dust masks may be required.
• Expected to stand or walk for up to 90% of the shift.
• May climb up to approximately 30 flights of stairs per shift.
• Regularly use computers, keyboards, mice, and manufacturing automation systems.
• Lift loads up to 40 lbs. multiple times per shift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Team lifting is required for heavier or awkward loads.
• Push/pull materials requiring up to approximately 50 lbs. of force; mechanical equipment may be used for heavier loads.
• Frequent bending, reaching, gripping, twisting, and manipulation of process equipment and connections may be required.

Powered Industrial Truck Requirements

Employees operating powered industrial trucks must meet applicable site/DOT physical requirements, including:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Required vision standards.
• Color vision testing.
• Hearing/whisper test.
• Blood pressure requirements as applicable.
• Successful completion of the required physical examination.
