Medical Science Liaison, Oncology (Gyn-Onc)

Company

Our client is a well-established, publicly traded biopharmaceutical company that has spent more than two decades singularly focused on the science of a single hormonal signaling pathway, building a portfolio of more than 1,000 proprietary compounds along the way.

The company's newest FDA-approved therapy — its first entry into oncology — targets a defined hormone-receptor mechanism in a hard-to-treat gynecologic cancer, backed by practice-changing Phase 3 trial results published in a leading medical journal.

Candidates consistently point to the company's collaborative, data-driven culture and its rapid, well-funded growth as reasons to join.

The Role They Will Play

As a Medical Science Liaison, you will serve as the scientific bridge between the company and oncology thought leaders across a defined U.S. field territory.

You'll lead in-depth scientific exchange with HCPs treating gynecological and other malignancies, respond to medical inquiries, and support the field medical strategy behind a newly launched, first-in-class oncology therapy.

This is a ground-floor opportunity on a brand-new oncology franchise inside an already-profitable, publicly traded company — a combination of launch-stage energy and commercial stability that's uncommon in MSL roles.

As the therapeutic area expands into additional tumor types, strong performers have a clear runway toward senior MSL and field leadership roles.

Territories

This search covers four field-based openings across the United States. Candidates should indicate territory preference during the initial conversation:

  • North Central —covering Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota
  • South Central —covering Southern and Central Texas
  • Southeast —covering Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina
  • Southern California —covering Los Angeles, San Diego, and Hawaii

Background Profile

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Expertise in oncology, ideally gynecologic oncology.
  • 1-3+ years' MSL experience; 2+ years' experience in oncology.
  • Exposure to thought leader engagement and scientific exchange within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Working knowledge of CRM/vault platforms (e.g., Veeva) commonly used in field medical roles.
  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, MSN, PA, or NP) or equivalent experience required.
