Payroll Accountant

Lisa Cole with Robert Half is partnering with a mission-driven organization that is seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage full-cycle payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and payroll accounting functions. This is a hybrid position with strong benefits and work life balance.

⭐ Candidates with ADP Workforce Now experience, including payroll processing, reporting, benefits administration, timekeeping, and compliance workflows, will be highly prioritized.

Key Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Manage payroll taxes, garnishments, benefit deductions, and 401(k) contributions.
• Reconcile payroll, benefits invoices, and payroll-related accounts.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
• Support audits, year-end reporting, W-2s, and 1099s.
• Serve as the primary resource for payroll and timekeeping questions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience.
• ADP Workforce Now experience required, including payroll processing, reporting, timekeeping, and benefits administration.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, wage and hour laws, and payroll compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with payroll accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
• QuickBooks and nonprofit experience are a plus.
