People & Culture HR Manager

Location: Southern California

Work Arrangement: Full-time, 100% onsite

Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 base, plus bonus potential

A growing organization is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to support employees and operational leaders within a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment.

This role is ideal for a bilingual HR professional who is comfortable working directly with employees, coaching managers, resolving workplace concerns, and balancing day-to-day HR needs with broader business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted HR partner to operational leaders and employees
• Manage employee relations matters and workplace investigations
• Guide performance management, corrective action, and terminations
• Support recruiting, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning
• Ensure compliance with California employment laws and company policies
• Help strengthen employee engagement, communication, and workplace culture
• Maintain accurate documentation and support ongoing HR initiatives
• Travel occasionally to other regional locations as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Five or more years of progressive HR experience
• Professional fluency in both English and Spanish
• Prior experience supporting transportation, logistics, distribution, warehousing, or a similar operational environment
• Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience
• Working knowledge of California employment law
• Excellent judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively in a visible, hands-on, onsite HR role
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus
