About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Design Producer to support a Product Design team working on website, user experience, and software interface design.
The Design Producer will work closely with Design Managers, Producers, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners to define project requirements, clarify design goals, manage priorities, facilitate design reviews, and ensure high-quality delivery of final products and features.
This is a fast-paced team working on complex design challenges. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, highly organized, adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working across multiple teams and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional relationships while representing and advocating for the Design team.
- Partner with Design Managers to create project plans, establish key milestones, and track issues and dependencies.
- Lead design brainstorms and workshops.
- Run meetings and design reviews, capturing key ideas, decisions, issues, and action items.
- Track and report project health on a weekly basis, including status, risks, and projected outcomes.
- Partner with Design Managers on project planning and execution.
- Help negotiate priorities for the Design team given limited resources and aggressive schedules.
- Ensure timely handoff of design comps, specifications, and assets to Engineering.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout implementation.
- Continuously improve processes, workflows, and communication in a fast-changing environment.
Key Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Producer, Project Manager, Program Manager, or similar role in software, digital, product, or creative environments.
- Experience working with UX/UI or Product Design teams.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI and software ideation, execution, and delivery processes.
- Understanding of desktop, mobile, and native app design best practices.
- Experience integrating Design, Business, Marketing, Engineering, and stakeholder teams.
- Strong ability to quickly understand complex projects and focus on key priorities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for design.
- Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented.
Ideal Background
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a technology, digital product, software, or creative environment and will be comfortable partnering with senior Design, Product, and Engineering stakeholders.
Experience with cross-functional product development, design operations, design reviews, workshops, engineering handoffs, and complex software or digital products would be highly valuable.
