Full job description
The Exit Device Production Lead is responsible for setting up daily work, delegating assignments to team members, and ensuring the team meets weekly production plans and performance metrics. This role works closely with the Exit Device Supervisor and Order Coordinator to maintain an efficient production flow, support on-time completion of orders, and help resolve production issues as they arise.
- Run OSOR.
- Track weekly production metrics and team performance.
- Train new team members and provide cross-training as needed.
- Handle and support RMA-related activities.
Job Description
- Lead daily production setup activities and delegate work assignments to team members.
- Monitor progress against weekly production plans and support the team in meeting output and performance targets.
- Coordinate with the supervisor and Order Coordinator to maintain smooth production flow.
- Run OSOR and ensure order status information is updated and communicated accurately.
- Track production metrics, identify gaps, and escalate issues affecting schedule, quality, or throughput.
- Train new team members and provide cross-training to improve flexibility and coverage across the team.
- Support RMA-related activities, including coordination, follow-up, and issue resolution as needed.
- Promote safe, organized, and efficient work practices on the production floor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience required.
- Experience leading, coordinating, or delegating work within a team environment.
- Ability to track production metrics and support achievement of weekly production goals.
- Working knowledge of production flow, order tracking, and inventory coordination.
- Experience training new team members and supporting cross-training initiatives.
- Ability to identify issues, communicate effectively, and escalate concerns as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity with OSOR and RMA processes preferred.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
