Project Coordinator

Pay Rate: 25-31 per hour

Onsite in Goleta CA

12 month contract


Job Description:

The Engineering Coordinator supports project teams by managing schedules, organizing engineering data, and coordinating cross‑functional activities. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and prior coordination experience are required.


Responsibilities

  • Schedule Management (30%) — Create and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project. Collaborate with project managers, project teams, and line managers to track deadlines and ensure alignment across multiple groups.
  • Data Organization & Control (30%) — Develop and maintain systems for storing and controlling electronic engineering Teledyne Confidential; Commercially Sensitive Business Data data for internal use at FLIR.
  • Cross‑Functional Support (20%) — Participate in special projects involving Finance, Global Trade Compliance, Legal, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and other departments as needed.
  • Administrative Support (20%) — Provide general administrative assistance to support engineering operations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience using computers for a wide range of tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working with international teams or projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Background in the manufacturing industry.
  • Self‑directed with strong initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
