Education and Experience

- Bachelors with 3+ years required, Masters with experience degree preferred

- 2+ years of experience in small molecules, GC/LC-MS analysis

- Synthetic/medicinal chemistry exposure a bonus

Job Description

The analytical chemist would be responsible for two primary roles:

1.) routine analysis and raw material characterization, and

2.) synthetic R&D support. Pertaining to the former, the chemist will be required to interact with clients to establish scope and breadth of testing within the scope of the specification unique to the particular project; eg. purity, stability, structure, decoration, etc. To the latter, INDUS engages in pilot scale synthetic discovery and development. To this end the analytical chemist will be engaged in providing the synthetic team with on-demand testing for reaction monitoring and raw material quality. Both sides of the position require meticulous data capture, report generation, and organization.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

- Receipt of sample materials, either from clients or synthetic team, and inventorying them

- Transferring analytical methods given over by the client in the scope of the spec’d requirements of sample material

- Generation of reports for clients as well as interfacing with them to navigate any necessary deviations or changes to testing scope

- Properly being able to maintain lab equipment, this includes LC stacks, GC ovens, and single quad MS

- Perform routine testing for raw materials, intermediates, and final products as part of reaction monitoring

- Draft and review protocols, data summaries, and reports for internal records

- Maintaining a laboratory notebook with ALCOA in mind

- Supports the investigations of method performance, reliability and conducts optimizations studies, as needed.

Salary
