About the Role
The Information Governance and Records (IGR) Practice Support Specialist supports the firm’s information governance and records management program, helping lawyers and business professionals manage physical and electronic records accurately, securely, and in compliance with firm policies. This role provides day-to-day records support, training, compliance assistance, and coordination across offices and departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain physical and electronic records, including filing, retrieval, audits, transfers, retention, and disposition.
- Facilitate offboarding and matter close-out activities, including retention, transfer, disposition, compliance review, and related coordination.
- Maintain secure onsite storage spaces and support projects involving file destruction, clearance, cleanup, transfers, audits, inventories, office moves, and space allocation.
- Provide guidance and training on email and document filing, records procedures, and enterprise records and document management systems.
- Respond to service requests and collaborate with IGR leadership, internal departments, business teams, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality service.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of related experience; legal or corporate records management experience preferred.
- Experience with document/records management systems required; iManage Work and iManage Records Manager preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to new technology.
