Description
- Maintains awareness of company activities to ascertain the nature and extent of potential loss.
- Periodically reviews company financial reports and other significant operating material.
- Advises on risk management aspects of new projects and acquisitions.
- Maintains communications with operating and staff departments to advise on insurance and loss prevention measures, administration techniques, and also to develop information on risks.
- Review bid specifications on major projects and provides proper insurance and tax information.
- Evaluates the suitability of captive insurance companies, cash flow plans, deductible programs and other alternative risk transfer and funding mechanisms.
- Performs annual analysis of loss reserve funding.
- Performs annual retrospective premium adjustments for our cash flow programs.
- Maintains continuing record of property values, inspection reports, etc.
- Develops and maintain a risk management manual.
- Assists other departments in the budget and planning process.
- Assists with premium and cost allocations.
- Manages employees by mentoring, coaching, providing feedback and assessing performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's Degree
Certifications
ARM/CPCU preferred
