School Nurse – Full-Time | Orange, NJ
PeopleFirst Education Staffing is currently seeking an experienced School Nurse to join a supportive school district in Orange, New Jersey, for the upcoming school year. If you're passionate about student health and enjoy working in a school setting, we'd love to connect with you!
Position Details
- Location: Orange, NJ
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: 35 hours per week
- Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
- School Year: September 4 – June 25
- Caseload: Elementary and Middle School students
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing services to students throughout the school day.
- Assess and respond to student health needs and emergencies.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student well-being.
- Oversee health services for assigned school building(s).
- Promote a safe and healthy learning environment.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey School Nurse License (Required)
- Previous school-based nursing experience (Required)
- Ability to independently manage a school health office and student caseload
- Comfortable working within the assigned district
- Reliable transportation and a reasonable commuting distance
- LPN candidates are not eligible for this position
