Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Senior Accountant for one of our clients located in Livermore, California. The work schedule is in-office to begin with the ability to transition to hybrid after 90/120 days. The ideal candidate will have a senior level accounting background and have professional experience in a credit union or financial institution. The role manages the general accounting, assist with the external audit and examinations and regulatory filings, and assist the department and team with additional duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Leads the month, quarter, and year-end close and ensure deadlines are met

• Provide financial reports monthly and quarterly and assist with the quarterly regulatory reporting

• Reconcile general ledger, accounts payable, and other accounts as required

• Perform all functions related to reconciliation with the Federal Bank and Federal Home Loan Bank

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required

• Experience in a credit Union, Bank or Financial Institution is required

• Software experience with medium to large ERP platform is preferred. Symatar & SAP Concur is a plus

• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, & Excel – Intermediate/Advanced)

• Detailed, organized, and an ability to multi-task

• Excellent communications, outgoing, a team player

• Collaborative, proactive, leadership/management capabilities

Experience: 5 years of senior accounting experience and at least 2 years of financial institution experience

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $80,000 to $90,000 DOE
