Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a team in Mercer County, NJ. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with a strong background in inventory accounting, product costing, and general ledger management. Experience working in a private equity (PE)-backed environment is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
• Perform product costing analysis and support pricing decisions with financial insights.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on inventory and cost accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience in a PE-backed company is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Compensation:

$80,000-$85,000

• PTO is offered on an accrual basis
