DisruptiX Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing FinTech / technology-enabled organization seeking a hands-on Senior Director of Accounting to lead and continue transforming its accounting and revenue operations.


This is a high-impact leadership position for someone who can operate strategically while remaining close to the details. The Senior Director will oversee key areas of accounting operations, technical accounting and revenue accounting while helping strengthen processes, controls, systems and audit readiness within a complex, growing organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting operations and help drive an efficient, accurate month-end close
  • Own and improve revenue recognition and ASC 606 processes
  • Oversee key aspects of the Order-to-Cash cycle, including billing, accounts receivable, collections, payment application and revenue reporting
  • Address legacy accounting balances, reconciliation issues and subledger inconsistencies
  • Research and operationalize complex U.S. GAAP matters, including ASC 606, ASC 310, CECL and credit-loss/write-off considerations
  • Strengthen balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules and accounting documentation
  • Develop and improve internal controls, SOPs and accounting processes
  • Partner with external auditors and help drive continued audit readiness
  • Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and reduce manual workflows
  • Support NetSuite enhancements, reporting and systems optimization
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, Revenue Operations, Systems, Legal and Operations
  • Lead, mentor and develop accounting team members
  • Support continued growth, scalability and future public-company readiness


Qualifications

  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with prior Controller, Director, Senior Director or comparable leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 / revenue recognition
  • Hands-on experience across accounting operations, close, reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of AR, billing, collections and Order-to-Cash
  • Experience improving accounting processes, controls and reporting within a growing or changing organization
  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Prior public accounting, public-company, PE/VC-backed or high-growth company experience preferred
  • Experience within FinTech, financial services, SaaS, technology or another transaction-intensive environment highly desirable
  • Exposure to CECL, ASC 310, credit-loss reserves or complex receivables accounting is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to remain hands-on and execution-focused
