Senior Legal Billing Coordinator

Our client, a leading law firm in New York City, is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Billing Coordinator to join its team.

This is a hybrid opportunity for a legal billing professional with strong experience managing complex billing portfolios, supporting attorneys and partners, and performing client account analysis within a law firm environment.

Senior Legal Billing Coordinator

New York, NY | Hybrid ( 2 Days in Office)

Base salary: $ 105 K- $120K

What You’ll Do

• Manage complex billing and client accounting activities for assigned partners and practice areas
• Prepare, review, and process client bills and supporting documentation
• Analyze outstanding balances and proactively identify billing and collection issues
• Partner with attorneys and internal business services teams to resolve billing and client account inquiries
• Provide client account analysis and accurate financial information to partners and attorneys
• Coordinate billing workflow and troubleshoot complex billing issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date partner and client billing records
• Train and mentor junior billing/client accounting team members
• Serve as a senior resource to the team and provide additional leadership support when needed
• Assist with process improvements and departmental initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of legal billing experience, including client/account analysis
• Prior law firm experience
• Hands-on experience with Aderant, Elite, or 3E
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience supporting attorneys and partners with complex billing matters
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential information
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Compensation: $105,000- $120,000 base salary, depending on experience.
