Senior Marketing & Community Manager, New York

Hudson Dorms · New York City · Full-time · $80,000 to $110,000 base + Bonus

About Hudson Dorms

Ask anyone about their best year of college and they won't tell you about a class. They'll tell you about where they lived. The roommate who ended up a best man. The kitchen everyone crowded into at 2 AM. The friendships that outlasted the diploma. Who you live with decides what those four years become. Hudson Dorms creates living experiences for students. We take over apartments, design them, furnish them, and set up everything down to the wifi. We match roommates so people end up living with friends they haven't met yet. Then comes the part we love most: the events, the game nights, the comedy nights, the traditions, the group chats that never sleep. We've been doing this for seven years, growing every single year just through word of mouth.

Under the fun there's a serious machine. Matching, operations, and growth all run on technology we build and numbers we track obsessively. Students feel the warmth. We watch the data.

About the role

We're launching one of our main markets: New York. We're looking for a senior marketer to oversee marketing for it, and to grow with the company as we open the markets that follow.

This is an overarching marketing role. Brand, local partnerships, activations, events, content, and the conversion pipeline from the first time a student hears our name to a conversion. You set the strategy, you decide where the money goes, and you answer for the number. You'll work directly with the founder and alongside the team that built our first market, with no layers in between.

New York is the centerpiece of our expansion. For an ambitious marketer who wants to grow fast, this is a career-defining seat.

What you'll do

Set the marketing strategy for New York. How this city comes to know us, which audiences we win first, and what we're famous for on campus and off. The strategy is yours to write and yours to defend.

Control the budget. You decide the allocation across channels, partnerships, and experiences, you track what every dollar returns, and you move the money when the data tells you to.

Run the conversion pipeline end to end. From awareness to lead to tour to signature. You build the dashboard, define the metrics, and report the funnel with the discipline of an operator. You'll use every tool available, AI included, to move faster than a team three times your size.

Create the experiences you believe this market needs. Activations, events, launches, moments people remember. What they are, how big they run, and who you bring in to make them happen are your calls to make.

Build the partnership map. The organizations, venues, and businesses in the neighborhoods students live in, turned into channels that compound over time.

Shape how the brand shows up. The student-facing presence, the content, the creators, the tone. When a student hears about us, what they find should make them want in.

Write the playbook. There isn't one waiting for you. What you prove in New York becomes the model the next markets run, and the foundation of your case to lead them.

Who you are

A marketer whose work lives in the real world. You've built brands through partnerships, activations, and events with real logistics behind them, and you can point to numbers that exist because of decisions you made. You're as analytical as you are creative: you read your own funnel, you know your cost per acquisition, and you plan like an operator. You're quick with new tools and put AI to work without being told to. You know New York, and you get energy from people. You'd rather host the room than sit in the back of it.

What you get

We hire everybody with the goal of growing them within the company, and this seat is the clearest example of it. New York is the first of the markets we plan to open. The person who wins it is positioned to oversee several, building the team underneath as the company scales. Along the way you get a small, strong team that has done this before, a company that funds its own bets, and a direct line to the founder.

The practical part

New York City based, on the ground most of the week. Full-time. $80,000 to $110,000 base depending on experience, plus a performance bonus tied to the NYC growth.
