Senior Radar System Engineers - Aerospace & Defense



Location: El Segundo area - Onsite 4-5 days a week

Engagement: 3-6 month contract to hire - with top performers converting within 1 month

Nationality: US Citizen


Role Overview

We are seeking driven Integration & Test (I&T) Engineers (Mid - Lead level) to own the system integration and testing process for our client which has raised over $1bn in funding since founding. In this role, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate hardware, software, and firmware into cohesive, high-performance systems. You will conduct rigorous lab and field testing to ensure our systems meet exact specifications and perform reliably under real-world conditions.


Key Responsibilities

  • System I&T Leadership: Support System Integration and Testing (I&T) efforts to transition products seamlessly from assembly to field deployment.
  • Verification & Validation: Execute integration, verification, and testing in both laboratory and field environments to verify system performance against specifications.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Trace, isolate, and resolve faults across mechanical, electronic, and software domains.
  • Test Suite & Bench Development: Design, build, and optimize test benches, automated test suites, and procedures to streamline the overall I&T workflows.
  • Documentation & Delegation: Author detailed test plans and procedures to enable efficient handoff of testing execution to technical standards.
  • Equipment Management: Identify, procure, set up, and program the necessary tools and equipment required to support I&T activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) and broad engineering teams to understand system capabilities/limitations and execute lab, production, and field test plans.
  • Hardware Setup: Assist with the configuration, assembly, and setup of system hardware components.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics), a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical Background: Demonstrated experience in a technical role within engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Integration & Test Expertise: Proven track record of conducting I&T and troubleshooting complex hardware/software systems.
  • RF Equipment Familiarity: Hands-on experience using RF (Radio Frequency) test equipment, such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
  • Core Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and a uncompromising commitment to quality


Preferred Qualifications

  • Systems engineering experience with a focus on RF (Radio Frequency) Systems
  • Proficiency with programming/scripting languages used in test automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or C++).
  • Experience in Signal Processing and/or complex data analysis.
