Title: Senior Real Estate Litigation / Transactional Attorney
Location: Orange County, CA – Costa Mesa
Work Schedule: Hybrid
Billable Requirement: 1,700 hours annually
Experience: 7+ years preferred
About the Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a Senior Real Estate Litigation or Transactional Attorney to join its Orange County team in a hybrid capacity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney who wants to take on sophisticated real estate matters while working alongside a highly accomplished team with extensive experience in real estate, business litigation, transactional matters, and complex civil disputes. The firm's Orange County office is located in Costa Mesa.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in either real estate litigation or real estate transactions and be comfortable managing matters independently while collaborating with partners and other attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
Real Estate Litigation
- Handle complex real estate and business-related disputes from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Manage discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Analyze contractual, property, and business issues and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Communicate directly with clients and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- Work closely with partners on sophisticated and high-value matters.
Real Estate Transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, development agreements, and other real estate contracts.
- Advise clients regarding real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and related business issues.
- Conduct and analyze due diligence and identify potential legal and business risks.
- Negotiate transaction terms with opposing counsel, clients, lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage transactions efficiently while maintaining strong client relationships.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience preferred.
- Active admission to the California Bar.
- Strong experience in real estate litigation OR transactional real estate law.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between [$250,000 – $300,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
