Regulatory Compliance & Strategy

• Monitor and stay current with global regulatory activity, with particular attention to potential impact on company products.
• Provide regulatory updates, support, and guidance related to cosmetic/skincare, including makeup, nail products, APDEOs, skin creams, etc.
• Ensure compliance with applicable global regulations and support the implementation of compliance strategies.
• Conduct regulatory review and approval of product claims, including retailer initiatives.
• Prepare Regulatory SOPs and guidance documents.
• Represent regulatory committees and task forces.

Product Development Partnership

• Partner with the category R&D organization by providing regulatory insights, restrictions, and trend information to support medium- and long-term innovation strategies.

Regulatory Operations & Team Leadership

• Manage a team of direct reports while also performing day-to-day regulatory activities.
• Perform compliance checks for raw materials and formulas.
• Prepare product ingredient lists.
• Review product artwork globally, including harmonization of global labeling requirements.
• Support regulatory reformulation activities and progress tracking.
• Submit products to WERCS for product UPC registration.
• Prepare Safety Data Sheets.

Education

• The position requires a B.S. or M.S. degree in Toxicology, Biology, Chemistry, or another health-related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Strong interpersonal skills are important for working effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Experience

• 7-10 years of relevant regulatory experience in cosmetics, OTC products, consumer products, or a related field is required.
• Regulatory experience in the personal care or cosmetics industries strongly preferred.

$120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
