Senior Revenue Accounting Consultant

Location: New York, NY, FiDi

Type: Contract

Schedule: Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite per week

Hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

DeWinter Group is partnering with a global advertising organization seeking two Senior Revenue Accounting Consultants for a project focused on clearing a backlog of client contract assessments and supporting audit preparation.

Responsibilities

• Review client contracts and complete revenue recognition assessment templates.
• Determine the appropriate accounting treatment under ASC 606, IFRS 15, and US GAAP.
• Analyze principal-versus-agent considerations.
• Review accrued revenue, deferred revenue, and other revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
• Follow up on aged balances and unresolved items.
• Confirm recognized revenue is supported by contractual and project documentation.
• Communicate accounting conclusions to finance and cross-functional teams.
• Support month-end close and internal and external audit requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including revenue accounting exposure.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP.
• Experience reviewing client contracts and supporting audits.
• Strong Excel, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

• Advertising, media, SaaS, or another contract-heavy industry.
• NetSuite and Salesforce.
• IFRS 15 exposure.

Candidates should be comfortable working onsite in FiDi two to three days per week. Wednesday and Thursday are the preferred onsite days, although candidates seeking a two-day hybrid schedule will be considered.
