Full job description

About our client

This venture-backed technology company is building AI-powered solutions that help investment professionals unlock insights from proprietary data, institutional knowledge, and historical decision-making. By transforming complex, fragmented information into actionable intelligence, the platform enables faster, more informed investment decisions while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.

Backed by leading investors, the company is at the forefront of applying AI to the investment industry and is seeking talented individuals to help shape the future of intelligence-driven decision-making.

About This Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to join as the second recruiter at a $50M Series A AI startup building specialized intelligence for the world's largest investment firms. You'll partner directly with the Head of Talent and founders to source, close, and hire top engineering talent in one of the most competitive recruiting markets in a decade.

What will you be doing?

  • Full-cycle technical recruiting: sourcing, building pipeline, and closing senior engineers competing against top labs and Series A startups (Sierra, Harvey, Cursor, etc.)
  • Positioning our client against elite competitors to convince top-tier engineering candidates to join a zero-brand startup
  • Partnering directly with founders and hiring managers to define hiring needs and interview processes from scratch
  • Leveraging AI tools to drive recruiting workflow automation and increase productivity
  • Helping build out talent infrastructure, employer brand, and recruiting operations as the company scales from 30 toward 50 people

Key Requirements

  • Experience full-cycle recruiting at a high-growth startup (must have been there during the hypergrowth phase, not big tech)
  • Proven ability to close candidates in competitive markets — strong sales instinct and closing skills are non-negotiable
  • AI-forward mindset: actively uses AI tools in day-to-day recruiting workflows

On-site work policy

5 days in-office in Mission District, San Francisco
