I'm working with a global leader in intelligent building management systems (iBMS) and building optimization software (iBOS), to find a Service Manager – Controls to lead their controls service team across a growing portfolio of commercial projects!

This company helps property owners and facilities teams take control of their buildings, improving operational performance, reducing energy consumption, and supporting long-term sustainability goals. With over 50 years of experience in building automation and a strong global presence, they're now looking for a technically-minded and commercially aware Service Manager to lead their controls team and strengthen customer relationships.

What you'll do:

🔹 Lead and manage the controls service team, ensuring engineers have the support, resources, and direction they need to deliver outstanding service

🔹 Oversee service, maintenance, reactive works, and small projects across a portfolio of commercial buildings

🔹 Manage customer relationships, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

🔹 Plan and coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and resources to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

🔹 Work closely with project, engineering, and commercial teams to identify opportunities for additional works and improvements

What we're looking for:

✅ Proven experience managing a controls/BMS service team, ideally within commercial buildings

✅ Strong technical understanding of BMS, HVAC controls, building automation, or associated systems

✅ Experience managing engineers, subcontractors, customers, and multiple projects simultaneously

✅ Commercial awareness, with an understanding of budgets, margins, variations, and service contracts

✅ A hands-on, organised approach with the ability to solve problems and keep a team moving
