Shop Mechanic / Welder

Location: Belvidere, IL

Pay: $30/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–3:30 PM

We’re hiring a Shop Mechanic / Production Technician for a hands-on role supporting the repair, rebuilding, testing, and maintenance of industrial equipment.

What You'll Do:

• Troubleshoot and test equipment electrically
• Strip machines for electrical work
• Repair and maintain shop tools and equipment
• Perform mechanical work, machining, and welding
• Recondition process, plastics, and centrifugal equipment
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Build crates and skids as needed
• Support field service and occasional overnight travel
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop

What We're Looking For:

• 3–4+ years of general shop, mechanical, or maintenance experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience
• Experience with welding, lathes, drill presses, torches, or similar shop equipment
• Forklift and/or overhead crane experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• OSHA 10 preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
