SIM Triage Operator

SIM Triage Operator / Contract, Extendable 6-months / Onsite, Sunnyvale, CA

Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our Triage Ops team.
• The primary responsibility of this role is to triage autonomous vehicle issues across on-road and simulation domains. The role requires a combination of strong data analysis skills for issue detection and root cause identification, and hands-on software engineering experience to investigate, fix, and close bugs in a production AV system.
• Analyze Simulation and on-road data including logs, sensor outputs, metadata, and video to identify, categorize, and route issues.
• Correlate on-road issues with SIM scenarios to support reproduction, regression testing, and coverage improvement.
• Apply established triage standards and distinguish between SIM tooling issues and AV stack behavior issues.
• SIM Tooling & Workflow Support Use dashboards, replay tools, log viewers, and triage platforms to investigate and track issues.
• Develop scripts for log queries, data extraction, batch tagging, and workflow automation.
• Maintain triage dashboards, filters, queries, and process documentation.

Required Skills:

• Experience with autonomous vehicle systems, simulation environments, or related domains.
• Experience analyzing logs, sensor data, video, and metadata to identify and categorize issues.
• Scripting experience with Python, SQL, or similar tools for automation and data analysis.
• Scripting experience with Python, SQL, or similar tools for automation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Jira, dashboards, log viewers, replay tools, or similar triage and issue tracking systems.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation and operational workflows.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to consistently apply triage standards and prioritization criteria.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Simulation work and/or triage.
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicle software stacks including perception, planning, and controls.
• Experience building or maintaining automation scripts and triage dashboards.
• Familiarity with data analytics and workflow optimization tools.
• Experience supporting AI-assisted triage workflows or tooling.
