About Happy Head

Happy Head is the global leader in dermatologist-prescribed hair medicine. As the leading telemedicine platform focused exclusively on hair growth, we provide powerful, personalized medical treatment. Our medicines are prescribed and patients are cared for only by board-certified dermatologists, the only medical profession with hair and scalp training.

Role:

Happy Head is looking for a Senior Manager of Performance Creative to own and drive our performance creative pipeline across paid channels and build a scalable creator content program. This is a hands-on role for someone who can turn business priorities, customer insights and advertising performance into a consistent flow of strong new concepts and content.

You will manage the creative testing roadmap from insight through execution, partner closely with Paid Media to understand what is working and determine what to create next, and oversee creator partnerships from sourcing and negotiation through briefing, content development and optimization. You will also provide clear creative direction to internal designers, freelancers, agencies and creators so that our work is effective, distinctive and consistent with the Happy Head brand.

Performance Creative Strategy and Pipeline

  • Own the performance creative strategy and testing roadmap across Meta, Search, TikTok, Display and emerging paid channels.
  • Build and manage a consistent creative pipeline, including concepts, briefs, production, reviews, revisions, launches and refreshes.
  • Translate customer insights, product priorities, funnel stages and business goals into clear hooks, angles, proof points, offers and creative tests.
  • Partner closely with Paid Media to review results, identify patterns and decide what to test, refine, scale or retire.
  • Establish clear hypotheses and success criteria for each test, then document learnings so they can be reused across products and channels.
  • Maintain rotation plans that prevent creative fatigue while ensuring the team prioritizes the highest-impact opportunities.

Creator Program and Partnerships

  • Build and grow a scalable network of creators aligned with Happy Head's audiences, products and performance goals.
  • Source and evaluate creators based on audience fit, content quality, credibility, cost and performance potential.
  • Negotiate compensation, deliverables, timelines, exclusivity, usage rights, whitelisting permissions and renewal terms.
  • Develop creator briefs with clear strategic direction, including the audience, insight, hook, message, proof, format, deliverables and call to action.
  • Guide creators through concept development and production, providing clear and timely feedback that improves the work without making it feel scripted or inauthentic.
  • Track performance by creator, concept, hook and format. Use the findings to improve briefs, renew strong partners and scale winning content.
  • Create repeatable workflows for creator outreach, contracting, content review, asset management and reporting.

Creative Direction and Execution

  • Direct performance creative execution across internal designers, freelancers, agencies, creators, and on-camera talent through strong briefs and actionable feedback, while ensuring work aligns with brand standards and creative direction established by the Creative Director.
  • Develop and iterate performance-driven concepts, stepping into hands-on execution when needed to unlock ideas, solve problems, and keep priority work moving within the broader brand and creative framework.
  • Lead performance-focused photo and video production featuring products, customers, creators, actors, and company leaders, partnering with the Creative Director to ensure brand expression, visual standards, and overall art direction remain consistent.
  • Use traditional and AI-powered creative tools to increase speed, expand creative possibilities and support rapid iteration.
  • Ensure performance and creator content is credible, recognizable and consistent with Happy Head's positioning, voice and visual standards.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Paid Media, Product, Lifecycle and leadership to connect creative priorities to broader growth goals.
  • Ensure ads and destination experiences, including landing pages, product pages, advertorials and quizzes, tell a consistent story.
  • Anticipate launches, promotions, seasonal moments and business priorities so creative is ready when it is needed.
  • Identify creative gaps, production constraints and resource needs early, then move solutions forward.

What Success Looks Like

  • A reliable, high-quality creative pipeline that produces more winning concepts and faster learning.
  • A growing creator network that consistently delivers usable, on-brand and high-performing content.
  • Clear testing priorities and a strong connection between performance insights and what the team creates next.
  • Efficient workflows that keep concepts, briefs, production, reviews and launches moving on schedule.
  • Higher creative output without sacrificing quality, brand credibility or consistency.
  • Learnings are captured, shared and reused instead of being lost between campaigns.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in performance creative, growth creative, creator marketing or a closely related role, ideally within DTC, subscription, beauty, health or wellness.
  • A demonstrated track record of building and managing a high-volume performance creative pipeline that improved business results.
  • Experience building or meaningfully scaling a creator or UGC program, including sourcing, negotiation, briefing, content review and performance analysis.
  • Fluency in creator usage rights and licensing structures, including organic and paid usage, whitelisting or Partnership Ads, term lengths, exclusivity and renewals.
  • Deep knowledge of Meta advertising and strong direct-response instincts, including messaging hierarchy, hooks, proof, offer framing and calls to action.
  • Ability to interpret creative performance data and translate it into specific, actionable creative decisions.
  • Strong visual judgment and the ability to make performance creative distinctive without sacrificing clarity or conversion.
  • Experience directing designers, creators, agencies or other creative partners through clear briefs and constructive feedback.
  • Comfort working hands-on in a fast-moving environment while managing multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Based in Los Angeles or willing to relocate within 60 days of the start date.

Preferred

  • Experience in hair care, beauty, aesthetics, telehealth or another regulated consumer health category.
  • Experience with before-and-after campaigns and the associated creative and compliance considerations.
  • Experience directing founder-led content, testimonials or video sales letters.
  • Experience coordinating a distributed network of designers, editors, agencies and creators.
