Supplier Project Manager

Swoon is hiring for our global manufacturing client in East Peoria, IL. This is an onsite position requiring occasional travel to Aurora, IL.

This a 24-month contract opportunity with benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project/Program Manager to oversee urgent supplier resourcing initiatives. This individual will partner with purchasing and engineering teams to address supplier resource constraints, accelerate the movement of demand, and provide project updates and escalations to senior leadership.

This opportunity provides broad exposure to procurement and engineering teams, including interaction with VP-level leadership.

Duties

• Provide oversight for urgent supplier resourcing projects.
• Partner with purchasing and engineering teams to develop and execute detailed project plans.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate the movement of demand and address supplier resource constraints.
• Lead weekly project meetings for each assigned supplier.
• Track milestones, risks, dependencies, action items, and project progress.
• Escalate resource constraints, risks, and project issues to senior leadership.
• Coordinate technical, operational, and supplier-related project activities.
• Present proposals, reports, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Analyze resource requirements and operational needs to assess project feasibility.
• Collaborate with management, production, procurement, and engineering teams.
• Review contracts, cost estimates, and related project documentation as needed.
