Supply Chain & Demand Planning Coordinator

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain & Demand Planning Coordinator to support supply planning, inventory management, order entry, supplier coordination, and data analysis. This role will be responsible for ensuring forecasted orders and purchase orders are entered accurately and on time, monitoring inbound shipments, maintaining supplier portals, and researching discrepancies between inventory, sales, and forecast data.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, or Data Entry, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to analyze large volumes of data while managing multiple priorities and firm deadlines. Experience with SAP, or similar planning systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter forecasted orders, purchase orders, and order adjustments accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Manage manual order entry through supply and supplier portals.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders from initial placement through delivery.
  • Verify supplier order confirmations, quantities, and expected delivery dates.
  • Follow up with suppliers and carriers to ensure scheduled appointments and deliveries are completed on time.
  • Track and trace inbound shipments and coordinate with operations to ensure trucks are received according to schedule.
  • Determine pallet weights and truck capacity requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of orders, inventory, forecasts, sales, and deliveries.
  • Prepare and maintain variance reports comparing:
  • Items ordered vs. items received
  • Forecasted quantities vs. actual sales
  • Ending inventory levels vs. targeted inventory levels
  • Research and analyze discrepancies in inventory and sales data and identify potential causes.
  • Work closely with Operations to ensure inventory levels are accurate and properly recorded.
  • Maintain supplier portals and troubleshoot system-related issues as needed.
  • Ensure all relevant systems and computer applications are updated accurately and promptly with critical information, including item numbers, anomalies, order changes, and other supply-related data.
  • Prepare reports and provide data analysis to support supply chain and inventory planning activities.
  • Communicate with suppliers, operations, and internal stakeholders to resolve order, inventory, and delivery issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with approximately 2–3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, or a related field.
  • Candidates without a bachelor's degree may be considered with relevant data entry or supply chain experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas such as VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong business math and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a large number of SKUs, inventory records, and orders.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established guidelines.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and consistently meet firm deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
