Full job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to support large-scale content conversion and migration initiatives. This is a high-volume, execution-focused role that requires exceptional organization, accuracy, and consistency.

You will work across member-facing help content and internal knowledge resources, applying established content standards, style guidelines, and formatting requirements while helping improve content accessibility and usability. You will also leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate content conversion and migration efforts, serving as the final quality reviewer to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Responsibilities

  • Convert process workflows from a decision-tree format into clear, structured wiki documentation while maintaining logical accuracy.
  • Review and quality-check content migrated into a new CMS, validating formatting, metadata, links, and overall content integrity.
  • Perform manual content migration when needed, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Organize content within libraries and folders to improve discoverability, governance, and reuse.
  • Develop reusable content components, templates, and modules to streamline future content updates.
  • Apply established style, voice, and formatting standards consistently across all content.
  • Utilize AI and generative tools to support content conversion and QA activities, while maintaining ownership of final quality.
  • Collaborate with content strategists and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve questions regarding content accuracy, structure, and scope.
  • Exercise sound judgment when handling complex or non-standard content and provide recommendations for future content management approaches.
  • Track project milestones, monitor progress, and proactively identify risks or blockers.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, help and support content, content operations, or knowledge management.
  • Hands-on experience working within content management systems (CMS).
  • Experience executing established content strategies and maintaining consistency across large volumes of content.
  • Familiarity with reusable content structures, templates, modular content, or content component management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to self-review work for accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs, for content creation and collaboration.
  • Experience incorporating generative AI or LLM tools into content workflows, with strong judgment regarding quality control.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Portfolio, writing samples, editing samples, or other examples of relevant work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience converting decision trees, flowcharts, or procedural processes into written documentation.
  • Experience supporting content migration, replatforming, or large-scale CMS implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with regulated industries or highly structured support environments.
