Evergreen Animal Hospital in Gig Harbor, WA is looking for an Associate Veterinarian


Since 1982, Evergreen Animal Hospital has been caring for the pets of Gig Harbor and surrounding community. Our doctors truly excel in pet health and preventative care, and our team is committed to ensuring professional, ethical, compassionate, and respectful care through education, teamwork, and service excellence. Evergreen is a full-service hospital open 6 days a week. We are well-equipped to mentor, so all experience levels are welcome!


About Us:

  • We are an AAHA Accredited Hospital.
  • We currently have 3 full time veterinarians and would love to add one more.
  • We have the support staff in place to support growth in our team, and we collaborate each day by dividing up our surgery and appointment cases equally amongst our team
  • We are busy! Our clinic is booked for dentals, surgeries (from routine soft tissue to TPLOs), and appointments Monday through Saturday. We all rotate through Saturday.
  • Our doctors enjoy the ability to develop their skills depending on their interests (surgery, ortho, exotics, etc) .
  • We have a Class IV Cold Laser Therapy unit and we are lucky to be within a few miles of our sister hospital, PetZen Animal Wellness, who can offer alternative and holistic medicine.

SALARY PLUS Compensation Model:

· Guaranteed Annual SALARY paid month to month (range $115,000 - $120,000 depending on experience)

· PLUS Monthly Production Bonus (we are paying your guaranteed salary UP FRONT and then you have the ability to produce up to and beyond this salary minimum. The additional revenue produced will qualify you for a production bonus based on a percentage rate of 21%)

· Signing Bonus Package:

  • Sign on Bonus will be paid at start date ($5,000-$10,000)
  • Relocation Bonus Package ($5,000 - $10,000)

· New Grad Benefits:

  • Regional Next Level Mentorship Program for all New Grads for year one.
  • Referral Program Eligibility – Once you sign with us, if you refer “a friend” you can earn an additional $10,000.

· Other Bonuses:

  • We love to add specific incentives aimed at YOU. What would make you smile? A gym membership? A vacation? Doggie Spa/Day Care services? A new iPhone/Apple Watch? Once we get to know you, we can tailor your contract to fit you.

· Paid Time Off:

  • Minimum 2 weeks (12 days)

· Schedule:

  • 3-4 days a week (10-hour shifts) – counts as full time

· CE & Professional Memberships:

  • Annual stipend for CE of your choice ($2,500 - $3,000)
  • Professional Training and Development upon request
  • Midmark Dental Training
  • Membership in AVMA, VIN, WSVMA, your choice

Dr. Kane, our Managing Veterinarian, is passionate about facilitating the human-animal bond through preventative medicine and client education. He enjoys the great variety of cases that Evergreen sees every day and has a special interest in surgery and orthopedics.
