Prominent, international Private Equity firm seeks a VP to lead the investment accounting function for their NYC office.
This is a hybrid role, 4 days per week in midtown Manhattan.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the Investment Accounting function for a growing global alternatives investment platform.
- Serve as a senior accounting partner to investment, portfolio management, and operating teams.
- Provide accounting guidance on complex investments and transactions, with particular exposure to private credit.
- Oversee P&L activity, transaction accounting, and the accurate capture of investment activity across core systems.
- Partner with Investment, Operations, FP&A, Tax, Legal, Compliance, and other groups to resolve complex accounting and operational matters.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly reporting while providing analysis and insights to senior leadership and key business partners.
- Lead and develop the New York Investment Accounting team and collaborate with global accounting teams to drive consistency and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation, technology, controls, and operational processes.
- Help develop and implement accounting policies as the platform expands into new products and transaction structures.
- Participate in strategic, cross-functional initiatives and serve as a senior resource on accounting and operational matters.
Qualified candidates should have 10+ years of accounting experience in the alternative investment space. Private Credit knowledge highly preferred.
Total cash comp 250k-300k DOE
