Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operations Supervisor to take ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operation. This position will lead warehouse personnel, coordinate the movement of materials, oversee receiving and shipping activities, and ensure the warehouse operates safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will be a hands-on leader who works closely with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Management to ensure materials and products move through the facility accurately and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse personnel.
- Establish daily priorities based on production and customer requirements.
- Oversee the movement of raw materials, components, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility.
- Identify opportunities to improve storage, workflow, and material movement.
- Oversee the receiving of incoming materials and supplies.
- Verify shipments for quantity, condition, and accuracy.
- Coordinate the staging of materials for Production and customer orders.
- Resolve receiving and shipping discrepancies with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Support accurate inventory levels through proper material handling and transaction procedures.
- Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Work closely with Production to ensure required materials are available when needed.
- Prioritize material movement based on production schedules.
- Communicate potential shortages or delays before they impact operations.
- Utilize ERP/inventory systems to track warehouse activity.
- Ensure employees follow company safety procedures.
- Report equipment problems, safety concerns, or facility issues to Management.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong ability to organize people, materials, and daily priorities.
- Good computer and inventory system skills.
- ERP experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
