Role Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping of products. This role supervises warehouse staff, maintains safety and productivity standards, and ensures that orders are processed accurately and on time.


Core Responsibilities

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills are important.
  • Experience managing performance, attendance, and productivity metrics.
  • Experience in improving warehouse KPIs such as order accuracy, inventory accuracy, on-time shipping, productivity, and safety metrics. Ability to identify process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Lead, train, and monitor warehouse associates to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or processes to meet operational demands.
  • Inspect equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping errors, inventory discrepancies, or operational issues.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
  • Prepare reports on warehouse performance, productivity, and inventory status.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of warehouse or distribution center experience.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and warehouse best practices.
  • Six Sigma Certification
