Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Brea, CA. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities for dental practices, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing. The Accountant prepares financial statements and reports, assists with budgeting and forecasting, and supports cash flow management to ensure accurate and timely financial information. The role also involves maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, coordinating with practice leadership and management teams, and responding to financial inquiries with clear, data-driven insights. The Accountant collaborates closely with operations and management to support practice growth goals and contribute to an organized, patient-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience with financial reporting, month-end close processes, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intaact, etc), Microsoft Excel, and other financial tools.
- Knowledge of GAAP and basic tax concepts relevant to small businesses or healthcare practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Brea, CA, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA licensure or progress toward certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in healthcare, dental, or multi-location practice management environments is beneficial.
