Location: Chicago, IL – Hybrid
Schedule: Full-time
Reports to: VP, Controller
About the Opportunity
A growing, multi-location services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end close, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close.
- Perform balance sheet, bank, credit card, and cash reconciliations.
- Process biweekly payroll and related journal entries.
- Analyze account activity and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
- Assist with audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.
- Partner with HR, Operations, and other departments.
- Support special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 + years of accounting experience.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and reconciliation experience.
- Payroll experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- ERP system experience required; ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
- Healthcare or multi-location experience preferred.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
