Accountant (Food Industry)(CA/YM）

A food company is seeking an Accountant for their head office to join their team in Commerce, CA. This position is responsible for supporting the accounting department and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks. A bachelor’s degree and major in accounting, 5+ years of accounting experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and PC skills is required. This is a full-time position, with excellent benefits including 401K. [Work Schedule: Mon-Fri]

Accountant Duties:

-Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports.

-Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

- Prepare various reports and work papers every quarter for external auditors.

-Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

-Substantiate and document financial transactions by auditing documents and entering account information.

-Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

-Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

-Check accuracy of figures, calculations and posting pertaining to transactions recorded by branches

-Prepare and file government reports (sales & used tax, property tax, unclaimed property, corporate income tax)

-Guide accounting clerks by coordinating activities and answering questions.

-Initiate and manage financial and accounting software used by the company.

-Complete special projects as assigned.

Accountant Skills:

-Proficient PC skills (Microsoft OS, Word, Excel, etc)

-Must have 5+ years of accounting work experience

-Must have a bachelor’s degree and major in accounting

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
