Accounting Manager

Manager Accounting | $110,000 to $125,000 + Bonus/Benefits

Our client is an established manufacturing company with more than 200 years of history. The organization has a global presence and a strong reputation for innovation, while the US operation provides a smaller, entrepreneurial environment where this role will have meaningful visibility across the business.

The Manager of Accounting will oversee the day to day corporate accounting and finance functions for the US operation. This is a hands on position with exposure to senior leadership and responsibility across accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, P&L, balance sheet, and financial reporting activities
• Lead the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
• Analyze financial results, trends, and variances and communicate findings to leadership
• Manage month end and year end close activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulations
• Support tax filings, audits, and other compliance requirements
• Partner with leadership on financial planning and business decisions
• Oversee and coordinate the US accounting team and India based back office resources
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and financial controls

• Qualifications
• Active CPA certification required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Extensive corporate accounting or public accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Strong general ledger, P&L, and balance sheet experience
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Strong Excel skills
• SAP experience preferred
