Position Overview

A growing food company is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support its day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and internal controls. This role is ideal for an adaptable candidate with a strong accounting foundation and the potential to advance into an Accounting Assistant Manager or Accounting Manager position.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with members of the Accounting Department to compile, analyze, and report financial data
  • Manage accounts receivable and/or accounts payable activities
  • Support and complete monthly closing processes
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership and the company’s international headquarters
  • Use SAP and other bookkeeping systems to maintain complete and accurate financial records
  • Ensure company invoices and bills are processed accurately and paid on time
  • Implement, maintain, and enforce financial and inventory controls
  • Remain current on company policies and applicable local, state, and federal financial regulations
  • Perform additional accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered
  • At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Approximately 3–4 years of strong accounting experience is well aligned with the company’s current needs
  • Candidates with 3+ years of experience may be considered at the Accounting Assistant Manager level, while those with 5+ years may be considered at the Accounting Manager level
  • Experience in either accounts payable or accounts receivable
  • Manufacturing or production industry experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to learn new business operations, systems, and accounting processes quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States
