As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial processes and ensuring accurate cost and inventory accounting in a thriving on-site environment. This position offers the opportunity to lead accounting operations, enhance process efficiencies, and support business decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Bonus: Working history in a semi-automated accounting environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities.
  • Manage inventory and cost accounting, ensuring accurate tracking of SKUs and manufacturing costs.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal accounting policies and controls specific to a manufacturing environment.
  • Analyze cost structures and provide insights on cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with reliable data and analysis.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to achieve departmental goals and professional growth.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


Must-Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including accounting management roles in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong expertise in inventory and cost accounting, including SKU tracking and costing methodologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in managing AP, AR, and general ledger activities.
  • Experienced with a semi-automated accounting environment.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Previous experience with ERP systems or accounting software commonly used in manufacturing.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience in implementing or optimizing internal financial controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
