Job Title: AI Agent Architect
Location: Santa Clare (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
We are seeking an experienced AI Agent Architect to lead the design and governance of next-generation enterprise AI agent solutions. In this role, you will define scalable multi-agent architectures, establish reusable design patterns, and drive technical standards for AI-powered business transformation initiatives. This is a highly visible leadership position focused on building secure, scalable, and production-ready agent ecosystems using Google Cloud AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own enterprise-scale multi-agent architectures using Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI, ADK, Agent Engine, A2A, and MCP.
- Define reusable agent blueprints, orchestration frameworks, and agent design standards.
- Establish best practices for RAG, memory management, tool integration, and agent communication.
- Drive model selection strategies across Gemini Pro, Flash, and Flash-Lite, balancing performance, latency, and cost.
- Lead AI platform governance, security architecture, and observability standards.
- Review and approve technical designs, agent implementations, and integration approaches across teams.
- Collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders to deliver scalable AI solutions.
- Build and maintain enterprise AI architecture standards and reusable frameworks.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise with Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI, ADK, Agent Engine, A2A, MCP, and Model Garden.
- Strong experience designing multi-agent systems and agent orchestration frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and knowledge graphs.
- Expertise in enterprise AI security including IAM, VPC Service Controls (VPC-SC), DLP, guardrails, and governance controls.
- Strong background in microservices, API architecture, containers, GKE, and Cloud Run.
- Experience designing scalable and reusable AI platform architectures.
- Strong leadership and architecture governance experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise-wide AI transformation programs.
- Expertise in AI model optimization, model tiering, and cost-performance strategies.
- Experience working with large consulting firms or global enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks for AI applications.
Experience
- 12+ years of overall IT experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, or AI Platform Architecture.
- Proven experience architecting and deploying production-grade AI solutions at scale.
Certifications
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification strongly preferred.
