AI Product Manager | 18-Week Contract

Location: San Diego, CA 92130 | Hybrid

Contract Duration: 18 Weeks

Pay Rate: $106–$117/hour

We are seeking an experienced AI Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of AI-enabled solutions across enterprise and scientific workflows.

This is an excellent opportunity for a product leader who understands both business needs and emerging AI technologies and can work effectively across product, engineering, data science, and compliance teams.

What You’ll Do

• Own product vision, roadmap, priorities, and success metrics for AI use cases.
• Identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities aligned with business objectives.
• Translate complex business challenges into clear product requirements, user stories, and actionable backlogs.
• Partner with data science, engineering, and platform teams to deliver AI solutions from discovery through production.
• Lead backlog prioritization, sprint planning, stakeholder reviews, and product demonstrations.
• Develop MVPs by rapidly testing assumptions, refining scope, and balancing impact, feasibility, and risk.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Affairs, Manufacturing, Finance, and Commercial functions.
• Ensure AI solutions include appropriate governance, documentation, controls, auditability, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Quality, and IT teams on regulatory and data governance requirements, including GxP and validation considerations.
• Define and track metrics related to adoption, business value, quality, performance, and risk.
• Incorporate user feedback and performance data to continuously improve AI products.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of product management experience across enterprise, digital, data, or technology products.
• Hands-on experience delivering AI, analytics, automation, or intelligent workflow solutions.
• Strong ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured product requirements.
• Experience partnering with engineering, data science, technology, and business teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in complex, matrixed, and/or regulated environments.

Preferred Experience

• Life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry experience.
• Knowledge of GxP, clinical, quality, regulatory, or validation environments.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, intelligent automation, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
• Experience with enterprise platforms, Microsoft technologies, data platforms, or workflow tools.
• Experience managing portfolio-level or multi-use-case AI initiatives.
