About the Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician I to provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for production teams, helping improve manufacturing efficiency, production processes, and product quality.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in a manufacturing or production environment who is comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor and supporting equipment setup, process improvements, documentation, and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Production Support
- Support preventive maintenance programs for production equipment and customers
- Assist with job setup, equipment setup, and process training for operators
- Participate in Manufacturing/Production Team activities, including Gemba and production-floor initiatives
- Work hands-on with production teams to identify and implement process improvements
Process Improvement & Validation
- Support process validation activities and re-qualification of manufacturing changes
- Support engineering continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives
- Assist with setup reduction, tooling improvements, and other manufacturing improvement activities
- Support rollout of Manufacturing Engineering projects
Documentation & Records
- Draft, update, and maintain manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and technical Documentation
- Maintain customer and internal procedures and documentation
- Maintain manufacturing data logs, utilities, and production records
- Support inspection software development and related manufacturing activities
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing processes, production efficiency, equipment setup, preventive maintenance, or process improvements
- Experience with technical documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, procedures, roduction records, or engineering documentation
- Familiarity with ISO standards and/or regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with operators, engineers, and production teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical device or other regulated manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting process validation
- Experience with Gemba and production-floor initiatives
- Experience with setup reduction and tooling improvements
- Experience with inspection software development
Compensation
- Target Pay: $27/hr
- Location: Bethel, CT On-site
