Full job description
As a Prototype Aircraft Technician, you’ll help bring a clean-sheet aircraft from engineering design into physical hardware. The work spans structural assembly, composites, metallic components, tooling, fixtures, and hands-on problem solving throughout the build. You’ll work closely with engineers to resolve fit, alignment, and manufacturability issues as they arise. The ideal person is resourceful, highly mechanical, detail-oriented, and energized by building something that has never been assembled before.
Responsibilities
• Composite + metallic airframe assembly
• Drilling, reaming, countersinking, bonding, sealing, riveting, Hi-Loks
• Fixtures, jigs, tooling, and drill templates
• Fit-up, alignment, tolerance, and build issues
• Setting up prototype assembly processes from scratch
What matters most: mechanical ability, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and proof that you’ve personally built complex hardware.
